The IPX Rating Guide: Which Toys Are Truly Waterproof?

There is a big difference between "water-resistant" and "waterproof." Misunderstanding this can lead to a ruined device. Here is the definitive guide to the IPX Ratings used on all MythToy products.

IPX4 - IPX6: Splash Proof

Devices like The Rouge II are rated IPX6.

What it means: They can handle powerful water jets (like a showerhead) and are easy to clean under the tap.
The Rule: Do not submerge them underwater. They are perfect for the shower, but not the bathtub.

IPX7: Fully Submersible

Devices like The Muse and The Swan are rated IPX7.

What it means: They can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.
The Rule: Go ahead, drop it in the bath. These are sealed specifically for underwater play.

Magnetic Charging is Key

The secret to our high waterproof ratings is the elimination of open charging ports. By using magnetic or pinhole charging, we remove the main entry point for water, ensuring your device lasts longer.
